The Evolve Teardrop Trailers are proudly designed and manufactured in Langley, BC, Canada by Evolve Solar Teardrops Ltd.

Behind The Scenes

We’ll take you through the various stages of production in creating an Evolve teardrop trailer. Each image provides a brief description of what is happening behind the scenes.

Stage 1: Aluminium Frame

It’s important to start things off right with an all aluminum frame. This provides a strong, durable, lightweight, base to build on. Aluminum is corrosion resistant, and will not rust. Full-frame torsion axles are mounted for a smooth ride virtually free from sway or fishtailing.

Stage 2: FLOOR & CEILING

Two inch thick DuroFoam rigid insulation is inserted on top of sealed aluminum sub-pans  to ensure that your trailer stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Natural birch is then screwed into the frame to prepare the floor. The ceiling is securely sealed to the aluminum crossmembers to provide a smooth continuous look.

Stage 3: WALLS, VINYL & PRE-WIRING

White birch wood panels are installed to create the interior walls, followed by pre-wiring and installation of your rustic wood vinyl flooring. It is important that the flooring is one continuous piece so if a spill accidentally occurs, it will not seep through to create potential rot below.

Stage 4: ELECTRONICS, CABINETS, KITCHEN & INSULATION

Once the lighting and electronics are installed and thoroughly tested, we insulate the walls and ceiling with one inch thick DuroFoam insulation. In-body ventilation is coated to protect against rot and mold. All kitchen and interior cabinetry is created with white birch, rustic hardware, soft-closing drawers as well as a stainless steel food-grade drawer for a portable propane stove.

Stage 5: ALUMINUM SIDE PANELS, BODY TRIM, DOORS & FENDERS

Powdered coated aluminum body panels are adhered to the aluminum superstructure and riveted. Then all edges are sealed and inspected. Next, we install the body trim around all edges, fully seal them and inspect them. Finally, hatch door, side doors, roof vent and fenders are installed, sealed and inspected in detail.

Stage 6: INSTALL SEALS, EXTRA FEATURES & FINAL ELECTRICAL INSPECTION

In this stage we install all neoprene weatherstripping seals for waterproofing. Next, we mount all Extra Features, apply all decals and charge up the battery to full capacity. Lastly, we perform the final electrical inspection.

Stage 7: WATER TESTING, CLEANING & FINAL INSPECTION

A complete Water Test is performed to ensure there are no leaks. We then proceed with cleaning and detailing the trailer prior to placing in the mattress and additional (non-mounted) Extra Features. Finally, the trailer is ready for pickup/delivery.
